Dawn and Darkness, DAD, or DADverse
Introduction
Absolute Infinite—this is the essence of the worlds that were, that are, and that will be. It is a whole where chaos and order intertwine, twisting and bending endlessly. Realities cascade without end, forming an echelon of deeper, more complex worlds, realms, and forms. These levels transcend mere dimensions; they are abstract realms of reality and fiction, space and non-space, time and non-time, expanding infinitely.
It is a boundless well where possibilities do not end with the conceivable but stretch into the realm of the impossible. Time may flow like a river in one world while remaining frozen or nonexistent in another. One world may adhere to the laws of physicality, while another may be shaped from a void of darkness and nonexistence.
This overflowing mayhem encompasses limitless totalities—existences and nonexistences, wholes and nulls, realities and dreams. Possibility sprawls infinitely in every direction, festering beyond the reaches of numerical values.
Cosmology
Dimensions
Dimensions are levels of space-time and direction, each separated by an uncountably infinite gap in scale and power. This gap expands exponentially with each higher dimension, such that each higher dimension transcends the lower dimension to the same degree that the lower dimension transcends everything else below them on an uncountably infinite scale.
To further clarify: the uncountably infinite gap between 3D and 4D is equivalent to the gap between 0D and 3D, the gap between 4D and 5D is equivalent to the gap between 0D and 4D, and so on.
As stated earlier, dimensions are planes of space and time, thus granting a dimension its temporal partner: 0D + t, 1D + t, 2D + t, 3D + t, 4D + t, and so on. Each dimension has its own set of infinite timelines and worlds. Additionally, higher dimensions view the temporal dimensions of lower dimensions as "inferior spatial dimensions" i.e. higher dimensions are unbound by the laws of time and timelines from a lower dimension.
The entirety of all possible dimensions forms a hierarchy extending beyond countable sets and uncountable sets of infinities like the aleph cardinals (ℵ₀, ℵ₁, ℵ₂, etc.), progressing further up into unimaginable magnitudes such as Inaccessible (which are bigger than all previous cardinals), Mahlo (which are bigger than all previous cardinals), Woodin (which are bigger than all previous cardinals), Reinhardt, and Berkeley Cardinals—cardinals so immense that they are above all previous iterations of transfinite quantity, and even so, this chain of dimensions continues endlessly and indefinitely, as is the set of ALL POSSIBLE DIMENSIONS.
Totality and Ordinals
This hierarchy encompasses an endless range of universes, larger worlds, and realms, all nested within a broader universal framework. In cosmology, these hierarchical levels are categorized as "Totalities" and "Ordinals." So, what exactly are these structures?
Totalities are all-encompassing, high transcendental realms that contain their universal framework of an infinity of all possible permutations and sets of ordinals, lesser totalities, existences, and nonexistences within themselves. The higher a totality, the more fully, all-encompassing, and transcendent of more expansive realities and possibilities they are, as well as perceiving all lower totalities and their frameworks as fictitious constructs over which they hold absolute power. Ordinals, not be confused with ordinal numbers, are the sets that exist within a totality. Each ordinal also posits its own, albeit more miniature, all-encompassing framework of all possible existences, nonexistences, lesser totalities, ordinals, and dimensions. Like totalities, ordinals operate on a similar hierarchical algorithm, where each higher ordinal and its creatures hold absolute power and authority over all lower ordinals to such a degree that a higher ordinal perceives all lower ordinals and their elemental structures as nothing, thus making higher ordinals naturally inaccessible to lower ordinals.
This hierarchy of totalities and ordinals reflects a principle similar to that found in dimensional hierarchies: just as higher dimensions transcend lower dimensions—as lower dimensions transcend everything else below them on an uncountably infinite scale—so too do higher totalities or ordinals transcend everything beneath them. However, the gap isn’t merely numerical; rather, it represents a complete transcendence in an ontological sense, going beyond the mere stacking of numbers.
Additional information includes the following: the set of all possible ordinals is larger than the set of all possible dimensions; the set of all possible totalities is larger than the set of all possible ordinals; and each higher totality contains greater degrees of ordinals than the lower totalities.
General Cosmology
NOTE: Any Edensphere listed are merely a few examples amongst an infinite series of possible Edenspheres. Also, all Edenspheres are ontologically equal in the sense that all of them are Totality Omega (Ω), the ultimate, all-encompassing Totalities over their realms, nothing more, nothing less.
Cosmology
The Edensphere
The pinnacle of all totalities, Totality Omega (Ω), functions as the blueprints, scripts, creators, sustainers, and destroyers of stories, constantly and unendingly beginning and ending an infinite sea of narratives and plots. These immensely large and powerful are, at the same time, transcendent and all-encompassing towards all possible ordinals and totalities, a minor difference between their nature and the nature of all other totalities (and ordinals). The gap between the Edensphere and all lower totalities is incomprehensible, being the equivalent to the gap between 0D and the set of all possible totalities which even then, still pales in comparison to the transcendence of the Edensphere. Beyond this, all manner of rhyme and reason are completely broken.
The Eden Flow
The Eden Flow, also called Eden, The Flow, The Flowing Eden, The Ocean, is an expansive, chaotic, and ethereal ocean of limitless potential and primal power beyond all spatiotemporal abstractions and phenomena, serving as the driving force behind all forms and all edenspheres and the endless voices and sounds of their stories, narratives, and plots; the capacity to create, hold, obliterate, and encompass the conglomeration of every conceivable Edensphere, and being unbounded by them, viewing them as how a writer views its world, fiction. As such, the Eden Flow also transcends uncountable manifolds of systems of logic and duality; a hyperreality inaccessible to all things before, operating on fundamental laws of unadulterated transcendence, and a background too hostile, ridiculous, and aggressive for any lower being and force to survive in. It embodies the origin, sustenance, and end of all things within itself, manifesting higher orders of creation and destruction that surpass any notion of afterlives, levels of existence and nonexistence, and conventional laws of life and death.
The Eden Flow can be likened to Plato's Theory of Forms, which posits the existence of ideal, immutable concepts that represent the true essence of all things. While the Eden Flow operates on a framework similar to this theory, it is not as "omnipotent." For starters, it is a created construct, an infinitesimal derivative of the Archetypes—entities that align more with Plato's Theory of Forms, as the Eden Flow's status of "bringer, sustainer, and ender" of all things is a mere shadow to their genuine and ultimate status as conceptual archetypes of eternity and immutability. Furthermore, the Eden Flow is malleable; it can be altered and changed by its twisted laws, by the Ultimate Gods, or by beings known as Eden Gods, who wield the power to reshape the Eden Flow and its myriad of contents.
Universum
Universum is an Edensphere where a majority of the Dawn and Darkness stories take place. Where forces of nature and of the cosmos and esoteric creatures are in its every facet. In this realm, fantasy reigns supreme, from enchanted realms, and mystical creatures, to ancient gods, mystical, and primordial energies.
The Continuum
The Continuum is a cosmic chain of totalities and ordinals, each stacked upon the other in such a way that higher ones regard those below them as mere nothingness. Contains a boundless expanse of possible worlds and universes—each governed by their own unique or familiar interuniversal laws and principles. These realms span an infinite spectrum of what are commonly referred to as "parallel worlds," "other worlds," "alternate worlds," "multiple worlds," or "many worlds.” From the smallest quantum foams and subatomic particles to grand cosmic structures like galactic filaments and higher ontological constructs.
The lowest totality, Totality Zero (0), encompasses all possible dimensions, yet transcends them entirely as it holds within itself a cascade and recursion of every possible ordinal (relative to itself) stacked on top of each other. Despite its vastness, Totality Zero (0) is but the lowest rung on this cosmic ladder, dwarfed by higher structures that see it as the faintest glimmer.
- Universes: Totality Zero (0), encompasses a hierarchy of all possible dimensions but isn't bound by them due to containing a hierarchy of its own set of all possible ordinals within its setting, which are levels unbounded by all possible dimensions.
- Multiverses: Totality One (1), a higher totality that perceives all possible universes and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Hyperverses: Totality Two (2), a higher totality that perceives all possible multiverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Kiloverses: Totality Three (3), a higher totality that perceives all possible hyperverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Megaverses: Totality Four (4), a higher totality that perceives all possible kiloverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Gigaverses: Totality Five (5), a higher totality that perceives all possible megaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Teraverses: Totality Six (6), a higher totality that perceives all possible gigaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Petaverses: Totality Seven (7), a higher totality that perceives all possible teraverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Exaverses: Totality Eight (8), a higher totality that perceives all possible petaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Zettaverses: Totality Nine (9), a higher totality that perceives all possible exaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Yottaverses: Totality Ten (10), a higher totality that perceives all possible zettaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Ronnaverses: Totality Eleven (11), a higher totality that perceives all possible yottaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Quettaverse: Totality Twelve (12), a higher totality that perceives all possible ronnaverses and their hierarchy of ordinals and sets as fiction, encompassing them absolutely, and encompassing every iteration and permutations of its possible hierarchy.
- Ad infinitum: (Not a Totality, more so a cardinal) This hierarchy extends infinitely, with the number of totalities and ordinals surpassing all finite multiplicities.
Omniverse
Beyond the Continuum lies the Omniverse, also known as Totality Aleph Null (ℵ0). It is the grandest of all the classical totalities, encompassing every one of them within the Continuum, and yet it effortlessly transcends them as though they were no more than fragments of forgotten dreams.
The Omniverse is itself the only one in a chain of ever-larger omniverses, forming what is known as the Aleph Space. This recursive hierarchy stretches upward endlessly, from Totality Aleph One (ℵ1) to Totality Aleph Omega (ℵω), each one greater and more incomprehensible than the last.
The Ultimate Omniverse
The apex, the Ultimate Omniverse. This vast structure encompasses not only the Aleph Space but transcends it entirely. An endless repository of stories, existences, and nonexistences that exceed the limits of any conceivable structure before it.
The Sea of Thought
Drifting above and through the fabric of Universum is the Sea of Thought, a higher totality with colorations within the blue spectrum that serves as the source of the collective unconscious for all beings across all omniverses. This oceanic realm is filled with the instincts, dreams, and conceptual entities born from the minds of countless creatures. Here, ancient symbols and ideals dwell—The Great Mother, The Wise Old Man, The Shadow, The Tower, The Tree of Life—beings of primordial power that embody the deep psychological and spiritual currents of all life.
That is the Sea of Thought, a boundless domain where the thoughts and dreams of every being meld and flow into one another, forming the undercurrent that shapes the unconscious minds of all creatures in existence.
The Great Herculean HyperSpiral
The Great Herculean Hyperspiral, or the G.H.H., is an infinite, eternally rotating hyperspiral akin to an extradimensional galaxy floating through a boundless void. It encompasses uncountable totalities and ordinals, a metaphysical plane from which the Sea of Thought draws its strength. In its vastness, the G.H.S. sees the Sea of Thought as nothingness, containing uncountably more seas of similar framework, forming a vast "Ocean of Thought" stretching into even more abstract realms of form and containing all possible forms and differentiations of the Sea of Thought.
The Ultimate Outside
Beyond the farthest edges of the lesser worlds, past the G.H.H., lies The Ultimate Outside. The Ultimate Outside is a boundless, immaterial realm of infinite darkness so vast and empty that almost no being can survive its oppressive forces, an all-encompassing void, and yet, it is the source of infinite energy that stretches into oblivion, practically the pinnacle of Universum’s cosmological make-up as the primordial force that fuels all else. It is from this that all prior totalities and ordinals draw their power, and sustain the entirety of this Edensphere’s stories and narratives. Within this void are alien creatures, The Outer Ones, beings whose very essence lies outside the conventional laws and energies of all former constructions and determinants. They are akin to mindless animals as they wander about the endless nothingness of the Ultimate Outside.
Vectorverse
Vectorverse, also known as the Vector Space Edensphere, is, of course, another Edensphere within the Eden Flow. This Edensphere is a structure of total non-euclidean geometry and logic due to endless modifications and alterations to its cosmology and ontology. Originally, it was an Edensphere lacking any sort of life, except for one universe within it, this universe had life on a planet called Earth, and on Earth and its sapient species, humans, they began to grow and expand, conquering and modifying the worlds throughout through their madness and determination to go on into the outer depths of the cosmos until, they ascended to conquer their entire Edensphere becoming a race of hyper-advanced creatures of incomprehensible size and power, and whom are the far descendants of humanity who go by the species name, Astro Sapiens, or The Star Children of the Ape and the Angel. During this journey of ascension and expansion, challenges emerged continuously which threatened the collapse and extinction of their civilization countless times, but through it all, they prevailed and so, the Homo Sapiens became the Astro Sapiens.
However, despite their growth and unity, flaws and injustice still run rampant through their worlds and hearts, just as they did for their ancestors, but even so, their goodness continues to guard, balancing their moralities, just as they did for their ancestors as well.
Examples of inhabitants from this Edensphere include Benjamin and William, Astro Sapien siblings sent to another Edensphere as a form of punishment by enemies during a great war.
The Unnamed Edensphere
The Unnamed Edensphere, is as stated, an unnamed Edensphere, and to simplify, this Edensphere is one that was accidentally destroyed and eventually restored by the Eden God, ₱L∆Y3r_.Specific Examples
Dimension.#FFFFFF
Honestly, I didn't know what to do with this place when I gained some sanity. But eh, I'll just turn it into my own personal basement. Get it? Cause I almost NEVER go outside?... I'll see myself out.
₱L∆Y3r_
Dimension.#FFFFFF, or D.#F, is a white, infinite, extradimensional "space" filled with blinding glitches and T.V. static, situated "out-of-bounds" from other realities and dimensions. This "world" was [unconsciously] created by the ₱LΔY3r_, presumably during the final hours of the great war.
Currently, D.#F is now the ₱LΔY3r_'s new base for himself and his companions. Lately, this out-of-bounds reality has changed into something more "lively," filled with more elements such as scattered pieces of digital code, broken worlds, incomplete assets, and long threads and vines of red, blue, black, and white strings hovering over the "ceiling" of this world.
A reality where perception and perspective are subjective, like the ever-shifting, chaotic imagery of [early] A.I. generated images. Spread out across the unending "landscape" are large and tall structures of shifting color and positing all sorts of non-euclidean geometries; curves, twists, and the bending of both physical, logical, and conceptual matter. D.#F is connected to every layer and plane of void, nothingness, and out-of-bounds across every segment of fictional and truthful realities and possibilities. Ex: video game voids, voids in-between worlds, voids outside worlds, etc.
Leon's House
It's a big ass space mansion (or was it a pocket dimension?), what more were you expecting?
Leon
Leon owns a house in his native universe, set on the outskirts of a small town. He shares it with his wife, children, friends, and servants. At first glance, it appears as a modest hut with a single window, a garden out back, and a small window on the door. But inside, it opens into an immense, hidden dimension.
This hidden space is vast—essentially a large mansion. The design combines both modern and futuristic sci-fi elements.
Within Leon's house is a hallway that leads to a giant room with glass walls, floors, and ceilings. This room is like a portal, offering a view of the space itself. However, the room isn’t just for show; it’s directly connected to the cosmos, giving anyone inside a sense of standing in the stars.
The Backrooms
For the fool, the arrogant, and the blind; abandon all health, embrace the madness, ye who enter here. May chaos reign supreme and madness break the heart.
Unknown Writer
The Backrooms: a yellow-hued nightmare of endless, liminal hallways and fragmented levels. But this most popular iteration is only a tiny fraction of a far larger, far more ridiculous reality.
In its truest form, the Backrooms are an umbra, lower emanations of a higher plane, Dimension #FFFFFF. Like its parent realm, the Backrooms are illogical and bizarre, where euclidean and non-euclidean geometries blend in chaotic, impossible formations and dances. It shapes an endless maze that strips away all sense of direction and perception.
When entities and creatures "no-clip" into the Backrooms, they breach only a small piece of its vastness—just enough to perceive without fracturing. Most enter the familiar yellow maze, though others are transported to other levels. Each of these other levels is a self-contained slice of warped, surreal chaos, with unique ecosystems and uncharted zones of infinite madness.
The Infinity Mall
Some "fantasy villain" tried to kill their "heroic enemy" or something when they went into this place with them. Luckily, everyone jumped both of them to not cause further trouble. Now they're just sitting at a nearby food court ordering upside-down ice cream lol.
Unknown Person
The Infinity Mall is a trans-dimensional hub for cross-verse interaction constructed by a few of the Eden Gods. It contains replicas of every mall, store, shop, restaurant, department, and other mall-related content across all realities—spanning from conventional to bizarre and from modern to pre-industrial or futuristic. The mall’s staff, pure white humanoids with star-filled black hair, possess immense cosmic power. Visitors from various worlds frequent the mall to shop, socialize, and enjoy diverse food at its numerous food courts.
Access to The Infinity Mall can be achieved through teleportation or by entering a store or restaurant, which may randomly transport one into the mall although the likelihood is infinitesimal. Exiting is facilitated through teleportation or by using the glowing green EXIT doors scattered throughout. These doors return visitors to their original location, along with any items they acquired while in the mall.
The City of the Sky
Don't let my wife find out I "bought" an entire city block. She'll likely hang me on a cross and disembowel me.
Unknown Person
The City of the Sky, also known as the Farlands, is an endlessly vast, extradimensional city that serves as both a home and base for many Eden Gods. This city was created as a neutral zone and unifying space by the Eden Gods, for the Eden Gods, following countless divisions, battles, and bloodshed amongst themselves. While it includes all the typical elements of a city—sustenance, services, and infrastructure—these are not necessities but rather add-ons.
The Farlands is entirely inaccessible to all lesser gods and other entities, due not only to it being a higher plane but also the inherent danger it poses to those lesser. Without the permission and protection of an Eden God, any lower being that attempts entry is instantly destroyed, erased on conceptual and fundamental levels, as the environment is too hostile for conventional life.
The Outer Chambers
Hehe... hey kid? You know that feeling you get of someone or something watching you, yet you don't know where they are? Well... what if that someone... was me?
Sans The Star
The Outer Chambers is a dimension constructed by Sans the Star as his sanctuary. It manifests as an endlessly large, extradimensional city devoid of life and eternally coated in a humid rain and atmosphere.
Above the Outer Chambers lies a field of stars shimmering within a vast expanse of darkness. Yet these "stars" are not merely decorations; they are portals—windows and doors leading to countless other realms and realities, each a gateway to the infinite possibilities beyond.
The Tavern
Some idiot ordered three lava beers, two whole elephants, a duck, ten 5th-dimensional hypercubes, and moldy ice cream. Long story short, he broke the world record for projectile puking.
Unknown Person
The Tavern is yet another expansive, trans-dimensional reality that acts as a hub for cross-verse interactions created by some of the Eden Gods. Accessible through teleportation, dimensional travel, or various gateways scattered across different realms, it features an eclectic blend of modern and medieval architecture. Within The Tavern, an endless array of workers serve an endless variety of foods tailored to the tastes of beings from all realities. These workers exhibit forms resembling seas of galaxies, stars, and planets, and their appearances range from humanoid to animal-like. The Tavern operates as a nexus where countless entities from across countless possible worlds come to interact, dine, and explore.
U-0
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.
Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot, 1994
█
The most merciful thing in the world, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.
H. P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu, 1928
█, unspeakable and indescribable, beyond the reach of language, executing all attempts at definition or understanding, defying every effort to capture its essence through words, symbols, or any systematic explanation. No vocabulary or classification can begin to encompass the vast, unyielding reality of the █. Yet, those who seek to grasp it are left with only tentative principles that merely gesture toward it:
The absolute truth, underlying and illuminating all other truths, untainted by the shadows of illusion. Eternal and changeless, without beginning, without end—a constant presence that transcends the flow and responses of time and space. Absolute, boundless, and incomprehensible, beyond any form of composition or division, untouched by cosmology, structure, and substance. No eye can see it, no ear can hear it, no tongue can taste it, no nose can smell it, no skin can feel it; it exists beyond the senses, beyond perception itself. Defying all attempts to place it within categories, for any such classifications are mere trinkets that try to confine the absolute. A whole unity, neither dual nor singular, beyond completion or emptiness.
The █, that which is beyond and the source from which all things flow through boundless emanations of what might be called "unconscious will," a will that neither seeks nor chooses but simply is. Unmoved and unaffected by the cycles of creation or dissolution, it remains untouched by any motion or stillness. All things—whether physical, mental, spiritual, or conceptual—are but unreality and shadows beneath concern. Only the █ stands untouched, beyond measure and time, eternal and unfathomable from the veils of illusions and falsity.

- How old is the Eden Flow? The age of the Eden Flow is [INAPPLICABLE] as it is both beyond time, created time, and was before time even began.
- The difference between dimensions and ordinals is that dimensions operate off of numbers while ordinals operate off of metaphysical properties beyond numerical value. Ordinals contain all possible dimensional constructs.
- The totalities also have other names and labels, like Floors, Ultimate Universes, Hyper-Multiverses, Super-Multiverses, Reality-Fiction Transcendence, Heaven, the Void, etc.
- When referring to possible worlds/realities, or in this case, "possible totalities," it involves the framework of possibilities which encompasses all states of affairs that adhere to all manner of (non-contradictory) probabilities, outcomes, what ifs, logical models, and laws. Examples include mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, metaphysics, and philosophy.
- Ordinals also possess their own sets of possible worlds.
- Each ordinal and totality posits its own sets of tangible, metaphysical, and conceptual frameworks.
- Ordinals also possess their own sets of possible worlds.
- Yes, higher dimensional beings and creatures can comprehend the uncountable quantities of lower dimensions and freely move about through their space-time continuums and timelines.
